Join us as we come together for a week of prayer!
As a community we are feeling called that now is the time to be praying together.
Join us by signing up for an hour (or more) to pray. Pray wherever you are and for whatever God is calling you to pray for. We have put together some ideas and simple ways to pray below. If this is your first time or your millionth time in prayer we want to encourage you to join us.

Let's Pray For It!

Journey to Amen
Sunday March 24 at 11:40AM
in the Tire Center
Join Ms. Lauren and the prayer team for an hour to share stories of what we learned and how we grew during the week of prayer together. All are welcome.
Ways to spend your time in prayer:
1. Start with P.R.A.Y. very simply each day –
P: PAUSING to be still - no distractions, just let thoughts go by.
R: REJOICING with a Psalm and REFLECTING on a Scripture.
A: ASKING God to help us and others
Y: YIELDING to His will in our lives, come what may.
2. Pray for some of these needs (or anything else you feel called to):
-
Our country
-
Ascent, Kindred Church in Westminster, and other local churches
-
The big "C" church (the Church as a whole)
-
Healing for our bodies, minds, and spirit
-
Our kids and families - for kids & parents who feel overwhelmed
-
For those who feel lost, lonely, in pain – turning to anything they can to numb
-
Ascent building, for the additional stresses and changes
-
The environment
-
Your neighbors
-
For peace on earth - for the peacemakers showing up in areas that are hurting
-
Pray for whatever it is that breaks God's heart
Prayer is conversation with God. It involves spending time in God's presence and purposeful communication. Our communication consists of both talking and creating space to listen. We believe prayer is for EVERYBODY and not just for a select few.
3. Pray the Lord's Prayer:
Matthew 6:8-13 from The Message (or whatever version you would like)
This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this:
Our Father in heaven,
Reveal who you are.
Set the world right;
Do what’s best—
as above, so below.
Keep us alive with three square meals.
Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.
You’re in charge!
You can do anything you want!
You’re ablaze in beauty!
Yes. Yes. Yes.
