We want each person at Ascent to have an intrinsic belief and an unwavering knowledge that you are the beloved of Jesus Christ and you were made to worship Him. 

Worship is a posture of the heart and there are SO many ways we can worship God, not just through music. On this team we express our worship through music, but worship at its core is an awareness of God and then a whole life response to God. 


What is Worship at Ascent?
 
INTENTIONAL  
Songs are chosen carefully to coincide with the message each week. Our hope is that the songs chosen for the music portion of our worship service would leave a lasting impression and follow you throughout the week. 
 
AUTHENTIC & Engaging
Our worship team is filled with talented people who have a service-oriented heart to use their God given gifts. We believe that having leaders and volunteers with a posture of whole life worship and hearts attuned to the Holy Spirit is just as important as our striving for excellence in musicianship. Our goal is to represent well the love of Jesus and spread the joy of the Gospel through music. 
 
DIVERSE
Reaching every member of Ascent is important to us. We use a catalogue of songs from many genres ranging from hymns to gospel music. Whether you are brand new to faith, or you are a longtime believer, or if you are just checking it out for the first time, we aim to help you engage with God through music.
