The Chief Hayes Project
When Ascent first started, Pastor Bill went for a walk with the Chief of Police for Louisville. While they were walking Chief Hayes showed him homes that were a risk of being fined for the upkeep of their property. Chief Hayes asked if Ascent would partner with the police department to help neighbors with their yard work. The Chief Hayes Project began from there!
This is a great opportunity for people, whether individuals or families, to come together to serve in our community. If you can't make it - please consider a donation select the "Chief Hayes Project" from the dropdown menu.

Sister Carmen
Food Drives & Financial Support

Sister Carmen Community Center is the only organization providing comprehensive basic needs services and resources to the most vulnerable residents in East Boulder County (Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, and Erie).
Through their family-centered programming, they promote health, safety, well-being and economic stability by meeting one-on-one with the people they serve.
They aim to improve the quality of life for their participants, and assist them in recovering from challenging experiences by providing timely and meaningful wrap-around support in their program areas:
Nutrition & Healthy Living, Advocacy and Community & Family Education.

Cuba Partnership

Ascent partners with Pastor Willie Santiago and his ministry in Cuba. Cuba Connections is a faith-based organization that works across denominations and partners with local churches. Churches in Cuba aren’t allowed to build buildings. Many pastors host churches in area homes (sounds like a tight squeeze!).
Ascent has sent several teams to Cuba to work with Pastor Willie: High students, College students, a Women's team and two All Ages family teams. See the video below for more details
Since COVID we have not be able to send teams, but we have been in regular communication with Pastor Willie. We look forward to when we will be able to send teams again.
Teams are crafted around both the needs in Cuba and the gifts from the people that God brings together. There are opportunities to garden, work, create kids camps, bible studies, to work with families who have kids with special needs, and so much more!
