2022 A YEAR TO REMEMBER
A look back at what God did through YOU
Dear Ascent,
Years like 2022 are ones that serve to ground a church. It galvanizes a community around the goodness of God. It inspires and encourages a church to keep following, keep trusting, and keep surrendering to a good and gracious God.
The largest fire in state history wrapped around our building. We immediately had to ask the question, how? How can we even come close to meeting the needs of more than 1,100 families that faced destroyed homes and broken hearts? How do we stand up when we’ve been knocked down? 2022 was a testament of God’s favor, His strength when we are weak, His provision when we are fully depleted, and His guidance through the storm. We exercised a muscle that had been developing over 9 years- to continue to focus our attention on the needs of our community. God blessed the efforts of so many that call Ascent home.
As we reflect on 2022, we do so with great thankfulness in a God that has and will provide, that has and will guide us, and has and will love us through whatever is next. We always say at Ascent that we are on a journey to discover the overwhelming love and grace of Jesus – we look forward with great anticipation to what God has next on this journey.
We have compiled this annual report for you to see the impact your investment has made in and through Ascent.
Your generosity, partnership, and prayers are what make this place great!
