Altitude is a weekly environment where students play games, see friends, and spend time in small groups with peers and adult leaders. Small groups are at the core of Altitude. They're made up of a consistent group of students and led by committed adult leaders. These groups are designed to create a safe environment for students to share what's going on in their lives and ask questions about faith and about navigating the middle school world. Our hope is to energize students to connect with their peers and give them a vision of whom they were created to be.
The road through middle school may be bumpy—but it doesn't have to be lonely. Altitude is for any student regardless of their background or upbringing. We want everyone to be a part of this family.

Volunteer
Student Ministries is all about experiencing Jesus Christ through the relational community. We meet weekly, creating an environment that draws students into a relationship with each other, adult volunteers and ultimately Jesus Christ.
We are looking for people that love Jesus and want others to get to know Him as well. There are a million ways to do that. We need people that are willing to jump into life with others, help make our ministry work, and/or support our teams as they invest in kids.
There is a place for you, and we want you to join us!

What is Altitude?
Altitude is our middle school student environment that meets Wednesday nights from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. The program consists of a lot of fun in a giant warehouse, a short message about Jesus and where He intersects with middle school, and time spent in small groups.
What is a small group?
Small groups provide students with the chance to have their voice and thoughts heard. They consist of students of the same age and gender led by a volunteer leader. Here students get to dive into life together in a safe place where they can discuss what’s happening in their lives. We want small groups to connect and have fun as well. Amazing friendships are formed during this time.
What camps/events does Altitude have?
We have several events happening throughout the year for students. Check the events page.
How can I, as a parent, get involved with Altitude?
We’re glad you asked! There are lots of ways to participate in the fun as you experience your own spiritual growth through serving. You can start by asking your student’s leader how you can support him or her. Offer to set up a trip, provide transportation to an outing, or host a gathering. You could also send an encouraging note. Any time you can provide the leaders an opportunity to just hang out with their students, ministry is happening. If you want to do more, consider becoming a volunteer leader. For more information, email Chris at chris@ascentcc.org
Can my student bring a friend to Altitude?
Absolutely! Altitude is a place where everyone is welcome and going to have a great time. We want to build relationships and the more people we get to know, the more we get to have those relationships!
What if my student doesn’t have a small group yet?
Don’t worry, we’ll get him or her plugged into one their first night!
How do I volunteer to become a part of Altitude?
We want every student that walks through the doors to have an incredible leader that can’t wait to see them. We are always looking for people that want to join our team. We all about relationships here and if you can love another person, you are perfect for us! For more information about leading, email Chris at chris@ascentcc.org
